A Pinterest Experiment

I found this idea on Pinterest... And it involved green onions, water and time... So I decided to give it a try.

The idea is pretty basic. You lop off the tops- or green sections- of your green onions and place the roots in water. The theory is that the green onions roots will grow. In time your green onions will grow more green stems and you can cut off what you need and the greens will keep growing.

So here are my green onions- Day 1. I will keep you posted on how the experiment goes (or grows).

Happy Halloween everyone!!!! Be safe and brush your teeth! Haha!

Cookies & Buttercream

I had not baked my favorite sugar cookies in a long time so I was excited to make some sweet little pumpkins for Halloween.

While I was at it- I decided to cook up some tasty chocolate pumpkins as well.

I also opted to make some buttercream instead of royal icing. They may not be the most beautiful cookies, but they are yummy.

I will post the sugar cookie recipe soon. In the meantime I hope everyone has a wonderfully spooky Halloween!!!

Crock pots, blackberries & kiddos

Had a great day hanging out with two of the cutest twins ever- my nephews Cake & Pie. Don't you think they have the cutest nicknames ever??

I made a crock pot chicken recipe that was super simple, but was having too much fun to take any pictures. The chicken was delicious but due to poor timing on my part- I had to bake the chicken in the oven for the last hour or so.

I did make a dessert..... and it was soooo good.... The Pioneer Woman blackberry cobbler. And it was perfect.

It was perfectly sweet & with ice cream was perfection. I want to try mixing in some raspberries next time.

All in all... A perfect day....
